Nathan Mellor is the owner of CritterMap Software and is an independent web and mobile software developer. His app, BackCountry Navigator, has recently been in the top ten apps for Travel in the Android Market.
Nathan holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. Back when he had a day job, he worked as a software engineer for Hewlett-Packard for 12 years.
Even while he still had a day job, Nathan got into mobile development, and entrepreneurship, with the development of BackCountry Navigator For Windows Mobile. It has since been preloaded on Trimble Nomad devices and part of an OEM software project.
Since 2009, Nathan has been working at his own company full time. He has completed several course in Internet Marketing from the University of San Francisco.
He is working on content and code libraries to help Android developers (including himself) market apps more effectively.
Nathan lives in a rural area in Southwest Washington State. In his spare time, if any, he enjoys exploring his backyard with his family, kayaking, hiking, or backpacking.
